What is Emmanuel’s mission statement?

Emmanuel’s mission is simply to lead people to Christ and grow them up.

Why is church membership important? 

We believe church membership is essential for Christian.  God’s plan for spreading the gospel to the end of the earth is the church.  So if you are going to fulfill God’s purpose in your life it is essential to be part of a church.

Can I be part of the church without being a member? 

Yes, however membership shows a level of commitment beyond that of someone who just attends.  It helps the staff identify the people we can trust to lead and care for others.  It provides real accountability.  You cannot be accountable when you are not committed to any specific church family.

What denomination are you? 

We are affiliated with The Montana Southern Baptist Convention.  130 churches and church-type missions that fellowship and cooperate in order to reach our state for Christ.  We are also affiliated with The Southern Baptist Convention.  Over 45,000 churches in all 50 states and over a 130 different countries, we cooperate in a national and world-wide effort of evangelism and missions.

Why not just be an independent church? 

WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT CHURCH!

Every Southern Baptist Church chooses its own pastor, owns its own assets, determines its own programs, and is self-governing.

What is the Southern Baptist Convention?

We are the largest group of evangelical Christian Churches in the U.S.A.  We are the most diverse group of churches in the U.S.A. (ethnic, culture and age).  We are one of the fastest growing groups of churches in the U.S.A.
