At Emmanuel, our vision for Missions and World Evangelism is to PRAY boldly, GIVE generously, GO strategically, TRUST God fully, and PRAISE God always as we partner to proclaim Jesus around the world, so all peoples can know and follow Him! Our Missions Ministry is led by Pastor Steve Lortz, who also serves as our Executive Pastor.
All who call Jesus their Savior & Lord have a purpose……
Jesus left these instructions in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Because of this Great Commission, we are not left to wonder about our responsibilities in this present life. We agree with David Platt of the International Mission Board who states, “Disciple making is not a call for others to come to us to hear the gospel, but a command for us to go out to others to share the gospel. It’s a command for us to be gospel-living, gospel-speaking people at every moment and in every context where we find ourselves.”
