Year-round we ask those who call Emmanuel their church home to give above their tithe towards our McDonald Held World Missions Offering. In many Southern Baptist Churches, this offering is collected during Easter (Annie Armstrong Offering), Christmas (Lottie Moon Offering) and a statewide emphasis (Baker State for Montana SBC and Delmar State for Wyoming SBC). However, at Emmanuel, we collect the offering throughout the year and split it into 4 offerings.
This extra giving, specifically earmarked for missions, allows us to give more to the:
- International Mission Board
- North American Mission Board
- Montana Southern Baptist Convention (Baker State)
- Wyoming Southern Baptist Convention (Delmar State)
- Emmanuel’s mission efforts locally, statewide, nationwide and internationally.
This offering also allows us to establish partnerships such as Compassion International, Nepal, Ecuador and with new church plants in our state and region (GracePoint, Refuge, Grace of God in Killdeer ND).
